Each 5 mL of the expectorant contains:

  • Chlorpheniramine maleate BP: 2.5 mg

  • Ammonium Chloride BP: 125 mg

  • Sodium Citrate BP: 50 mg

Indications

Piriton Expectorant is indicated for:

  • Relief of cough.

  • Congestion associated with common cold, catarrh, and respiratory tract infections.

Dosage Guidelines

All listed doses are to be taken three or four times daily, or as directed by a physician:

Piriton Expectorant Child

  • Children (2–6 years): Half to one teaspoonful (2.5–5 mL).

  • Children (6–12 years): One to two teaspoonfuls (5–10 mL).

Piriton Expectorant Adult

  • Adults & Children (above 12 years): Two teaspoonfuls (10 mL).
