Piriton Syrup & Tablet

Indications

Piriton are indicated for symptomatic control of all allergic conditions responsive to antihistamines, including hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic oedema, food allergy, drug and serum reactions, insect bites

Constituents

Piriton tablet
Chlorpheniramine maleate BP 4 mg

Piriton syrup
Chlorpheniramine maleate
BP 2 mg per 5 mL

Dosage

All doses below are to be taken three or four times daily or as directed by your physician.

 

Piriton Syrup:
Children (below 6 years): Half to one teaspoonful (2.5-5 mL) depending on age and weight.
Children (6-12 years): One to two teaspoonfuls (5-10 mL).
Adults (above 12 years): Two teaspoonfuls (10 mL).

 

Piriton Tablet:
Adults: One tablet.
Children (6-12 years): Half to one tablet depending on age and weight.
